 OAT CRUNCHIES


Ingredients:

  • Rolled Oats - 250 gm
  • Oat meal   - 100 gm
  • Egg - 2 
  • Peanut butter (or) Butter - 2 tbsp
  • Corn flakes - 100 gm
  • Sugar (or) Brown sugar - 1/2 cup 
  • Vanilla essence (or) Almond essence - 1/4 tsp
  • Chocolate chips - 2 tbsp  (optional)
  • A pinch of salt

Method:

Preheat the oven to 140°C  

In a microwave safe bowl mix all ingredients except egg and essence and leave to stand for 30 minutes.

Now mix egg and essence and beat together with all the other ingredients thoroughly.

Place blobs of this mixture, a teaspoonful at a time, on a greased baking tray and press each flat with a damp fork.

Bake for 30 minutes in a preheated oven until golden brown. Leave to cool for 2 minutes and ten transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

Store in air-tight containers.
